I like that I can use a 256 GB sdxc card, which I promptly bought from samsung.
All in all this is a great system, glad I got it. I expect it will last many years, and has lasted almost a year for me so far. Happy with it.

Hi, I purchased this item on January 18th and it was going great until the screen suddenly turned white. I’m not sure what caused it but obviously the product is not working the way it is designed for. During the time of ownership I have installed it correctly and I have been taking care of it. I would also bring it inside during hot weather as per user manual. I would like to return this item as it is faulty or you guys could send me a new camera assembly. Looking forward to your reply thank you.

Great quality footage when set to highest quality recording though it does narrow the recording field a bit, it doesn’t matter though because it’s wide lense covers everything in your view anyway minus some sky which doesn’t matter

For now the camera works well. The picture quality is good. Easy to install. The size of the camera and the method of mounting are good. Does not obstruct the view. It sits discreetly on the top of the windshield, hardly noticeable from the outside of the car.
The temperature went down to negative 16 Celsius. It didn’t affect the camera in an adverse way. When i started the car the camera began to record without issues.

Installation is easy and pretty intuitive. Cable provided is pretty long and could reach the power outlet from any point on the windshield. Electrostatic pad provided is very useful, just do not forget to clean the windshield before!
The camera can be used in different cars because a few bases are included. The main car can have a GPS module. Minor cons is the power connector on the GPS module is located on its top so you could not mount your camera as close to the edge of the windshield as you probably want. The connector on camera itself is on its side so you can have it close to the car silent if used w/o GPS module.
Image quality is pretty good but you could not read the license plates while moving. I set max resolution possible for 60fps. The day picture was taken at high speed – the license plate could be suggested only. However, the picture is pretty clear, no significant distortions. The night picture is a bit disappointing – there are lot of artifacts related to strong light sources (traffic lights). The car on the right passes fast, and its license plate is not readable. Sensitivity of the microphone is good but it is too sensitive to the noise coming from the car. The short video is to show that noise from tires when crossing the lines dominates.
Bottom line: this dash camera definitely a good deal for the money asked. Easy to install, easy to use, image quality is decent. I would recommend it.

Thought i’d write a review as a verified purchaser. I previously owned the 70mai wasn’t that bad and did the job for a long time the Viofo V3, and now this camera. It’s a great all around cam, even at 30fps pausing video frame by frame you can see license plates clearly depending on the lighting, it is a bit tougher at night depending on the angle of the car due to a little fuzziness, but otherwise the quality is good.
also would handy if this cam was built in wifi to transfer video without pulling sd card or camera of the car , even low cost 70mai s1 have wifi considering you pay 3times the price
The glare is pretty bad, but that’s due to my windshield and the polarizer fixed that issue, it did take away a bit of light from the camera but it makes up for the glare being gone.
Cons are: Video audio is a bit low, also the GPS is not backwards a little bit

The camera is excellent and gives a great picture and Michael at Viofo support is very prompt to reply to queries. The downside is their website shows the camera takes a 256GB micro SD which they sell but support says better to use a 128GB because of formatting issues. The website should also make it crystal clear that the SD card you use should be one of the 3 they sell on their website because for instance a SanDisk Ultra won’t have the endurance. The website should also provide information on formatting a SD card. I bought the 256GB endurance AFTER mistakenly buying an Ultra (money down the drain) then bought the 256GB endurance. This comes preformatted into 2 partitions one Exfat the other NTFS but the card will only work in the camera if formatted as Fat32. This windows cannot do. In windows trying to format to Fat32 it just says partition too big while using the CMD line to format it goes thru the motions for a long time before getting to the end and saying format failed. I tried a number of free format tools but none worked. In the end I bought EaseUS partition master for another $77 and eventually succeeded but only after cleaning the whole drive in disk management to remove the partitions then using partition master to format in Fat32 and then making that partition the primary partition not the logical. This is information that is necessary and should be on their website. If there is a free formatting tool that works their should be a link to that tool. Finally having got the camera to record I tried to play the recording back in windows Media Player. It only plays the audio and says missing codec. Michael at Viofo suggested VLC Media Player which worked perfectly but once again that is information that should be on their website with a link to VLC. Othewise I am wasting my time and Viofo support. But I have to say the camera is everything it should be with a great field of view and once set up works perfectly but it take far longer to get there than necessary because installation is a lot more than simply sticking it on the windscreen.

Simple to install the dash cam, if you need to hide the cables just use youtube and find a video on how to hide your dash cam cables.
Dash cam based on the 60 fps settings for me, I can only see the car plates registrations about 1 car length of a medium sized sedan very easily. Otherwise, it may be difficult to review footages to determine the actual car plate even with the help of using zoom in features of photo images or the like.
1 month in and had no real issues so far after the current firmware update and it’s pretty easy to update the firmware with some basic to intermediate skills. Just follow the instructions.
