A bit tricky to mould but works well.

Good value and does the job. Dentist-made ones would obviously fit better, but this is a good cheaper alternative for shorter term use.

Any DIY product has lots of room for user error and that is this product’s unfortunate downfall.
May take a couple tries to get a good impression and to correctly complete.
However, even after my best efforts – both sizes provided did not allow for my lips to close (aka mouth is open) when trying to sleep. Not too comfortable and can cause issues if unable to close mouth.

These were cheap enough to waste the first one as I was not quick enough to prevent one over cooking in the boiling water. I got the second one better and have worn it a few times to prevent night time clenching/ grinding. Because it is rather bulky, I need a tissue on my pillow for dribbling. I will also trim it a little more. It is quite loose around my teeth but I haven’t found that a big problem. It is comfortable to wear. I will also try the small ones, but if they can’t be made to fit, they will just be thrown away so 4 large would be more appropriate than 2 large and 2 small.

This is a great product for $20. It’s a basic mouthguard that protects teeth from grinding. I slept well with it for one night before finding my dentist made mouthguard. I clench my jaw, and this partially reduced that, but nowhere near as well as my splint. It’s a great back up though that I’m pleased to have.

After experiencing acute ear ache and TMJ pain for months my dentist advised I get a custom made occlusal splint which would have cost hundreds of dollars. After reading many online views for alternatives I purchased these. They did take a couple of sleeps to get used to, and I can’t say that wearing them is great, but I had a custom made one many years ago which was so horrible I didn’t wear it. This guard works, and I can live with how it feels, it’s worth it for the pain relief. I followed the fitting instructions to the letter and found that I needed the water to be a bit hotter than stated. I was successful on my first appliance, and it is manageable and easy to clean. I’m happy I purchased this and will continue to do so after these wear out. Recommended.
