Many glowing reviews for these in-ear headphones but they are not for me, I’m sorry to say. These in-ear phones come with one size ear buds, and one side kept falling out of my ear all the time. The sound quality is very good, but the ANC functions makes little difference in city soundscapes, maybe more useful in constant, low-frequency (engine) background noise. They are lightweight but their boxy shape make them also a bit bulky to fit into your ear. I use headphones mainly to listen to podcasts or music while hiking, and more open designs (e.g. Plantronic Backbeat) do not isolated you from your environment as much, are much less intrusive in your ears and are very firmly kept in place by their ear loop.
□ボリューム 普段から小さめの音で聞くのが好きで、音楽に没入するというよりも音楽を生活のBGMにしたい派なのですが、CX Plus TWは最小ボリュームでも音が大きい印象です。ノイズキャンセリングが優秀なので、屋内でノイキャンONで聞いていると最小ボリュームでももう少し小さくしたいと感じるレベルです。大音量で聞くのが好きな人にはよいのかもしれませんが、あまり耳には良くないかもしれません。
■アプリで接続先切り替え機能 マルチポイントがない代わりに、アプリでイヤホンの接続先を簡単に切り替えられる機能があります。たとえばCX Plus TWをPCと接続していても、スマホとCX Plus TWの接続が保たれる仕組みを持っています。言ってみればマルチポイントでそのうち一つを音楽ではなくスマホアプリ専用に接続しているイメージでしょうか。スマホが手元にあれば、CX Plus TWの接続先をスマホ自体にしたり、PCにしたり、iPadにしたり・・・と簡単にアプリ上で行えるようになります。切り替えには数秒かかりますが、一度接続先を覚えさせればその後はワンタップで切り替えられるので、とても楽です。
□マイク音質 残念ながらJabra 85tの圧勝と感じました。この辺はあまりこの機種に求めていない部分かもしれませんが、マイク音質が良ければJabraを引退させてCX Plus TWに一本化できたかも。
【総評】 とにかく音がいい！この音は多くの人に体験して欲しいです。あまりにも音がいいの一点張りなので、無理矢理マイナス点を探しているようなもんです。非常におすすめできるTWSだと思います。最近ゼンハイザーさんはCX TWシリーズを意欲的にアップデートしているので、これが今後ハイエンドのMTWシリーズにどうフィードバックされていくのか、楽しみですね。個人的にはJabra 85tを平日用に、音楽を聴きつつオンラインミーティングに活用し、CX Plus True Wiressは週末に音楽を楽しむように、と使い分けようと思います。

【追記】 外出する機会があったのでJabra 85tとCX Plus TWを持ち出して比較してみました。結論から言うとCX Plus TWは外出時の利用には向いていないという個人的な判断に至りました。1機種でマルチに完璧、ってのは存在しないことを改めて認識しました。なおこの追記ではCX Plus TWの使用感についてのみレビューします。
■電車内（地下走行）で音楽鑑賞。 音量を上げても走行音が気になって音楽に集中できませんでした。車内アナウンスがはっきりと聞き取れるので乗り過ごすことは無さそうです。環境がうるさすぎて音がいいとかは正直どうでもよいレベルです。周りの音が音楽を邪魔しまくってしまうのでCX Plus TWはこのような環境で使うものではないと感じました。この環境ではゼンハイザーの良さはまったく活かせません。
■結論 ということで、CX Plus TWは移動中・外出時に使うものではないという個人的な結論にたどり着きました。クローズド型のため自分の足音が邪魔するのと、そこまで強くないノイキャンが仇になって、残念ながら屋外での音楽体験はあまり良くない印象です。
それでもCX Plus TWを使い続けようと思えるのは、屋内での音楽体験と優秀な接続先切り替えシステムですね。複数の端末を自由自在に切り替えられるのはとても快適ですし、静かな自宅での利用ではノイキャンの恩恵が十分にあり、純粋に音の良さを楽しめます。あと加えてiPhone・iPadとの接続時の遅延がとても少ないのは驚きました。YoutubeでLatency Test動画を見比べても85tより明らかに良好で、動画視聴時のリップシンクのズレはほぼ感じないレベルです。ただし遅延に関してはどの送信機と接続するかが重要で、たとえばテレビ（LG）やNintendo Switch（初代）との接続ではどちらも遅延が大きく、使用に耐えられるレベルではなかったことも参考までに付け加えておきます。

I have never spent a lot of money on in ear hearing devices. However, I am so pleased I spent a little extra on this set of headphones. The sound clarity is amazing! When I’m using them to watch TV, I feel like I’m in the cinema. When listening to music, I feel like I’m at the concert. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone who wants to spend a medium amount of money and get great value for money with an excellent product.

I’ve tried quite a few TW headphones and owned some high-end over-ears. These are the best. As good as sounding as the original Momentum TW (which I have but got annoyed by battery issues). Bear in mind the original momentums were compared to over-ears costing £1000+! What these totally nail are:
– Battery life (and no battery drain issues) – ANC is fine – just good enough for office and trains. Too much ANC can impair music – Comfortable and can wear for hours. Original Momentums were a bit big and hurt after a while – Transparent mode is brill – I like the reassurance I can hear things around me and still hear the full bodied music – Touch controls work perfectly (once you get used to them) – Small, compact, solid, no-frills case. Old Momentum’s hinge broke – Incredible value given price of original momentums – App-based EQ and customisation
Could improve on: – Making touch tone louder as I have my music pretty loud and not sure if I have ‘touched’ – Variable ANC maybe? For those who think its weak – Variable Transparency? For those who thing is it too transparent? – IPX7 water proofing for those who like to wear in a hot tub!

As usual, did lot of research before buying this. hours of youtube videos and articles. If you have an iphone nothing beats the airpods pro. Its seamless, effortless. Used it for nearly 2 years, no complaints. Switched to android and was looking for a pair of earbuds for the gym. Considered bose sports earbuds, the jabras, sony. Wanted to give sennheiser a chance…had been hearing about its sound quality in all those videos and articles and boy…it didn’t disappoint. Its bulky and causes ear fatigue after a couple of hours …good enough for a trip to the gym though. …the instrument separation and the sound stage is just next level. Totally addicted to the sound now and just want to listen to it endlessly. Wish it was a bit smaller.
Update after 3 months: still hooked to the sound… can’t tolerate my budget sony earphones anymore. It will make you want to come back to it and listen to some music and that’s the biggest praise there can be. Still uncomfortably big for me but good enough for a few hours of use, a short train journey and a trip to the gym. Would try Sennheiser headphones now.

As wireless buds, I absolutely rate these 5 star. I’ve always loved Sennheiser for their headphones, I truly believe that if you want a truthful precise even reproduction and deep base response they’re the go to. (I dislike hyper active Sony modulation etc, I like to hear a recording, not a super enhanced hi-freq festival)
Noise cancelling is not amazing but I found unlike some reviews totally adequate/good on the street.
The fitting is near perfection, I have big ears, you will find some movement on long runs, from particularly strong head movement but only mostly when you’re sweating a lot. Dry, they stay put.
Size is nicer than expected, They’re actually quite small all in and on.
Battery life is more than I need for a day.
BUT…
I like, apparently half of reddit, both love and hate these, they lasted exactly 3 months. Almost every post I’ve read has a similar life time before error when the left bud dies. Amazon gave me a refund and said I didn’t have to send them back after a botched repair pickup under warranty so I being a little obsessive took them apart, no water damage from my runs, no sign of anything at all, they were visibly under a microscope, faultless. This a major issue that is all over the web and Sennheiser are not managing it well by all accounts including my own. Lot of money to risk even if an isolated issue.
I like them so much I just bought the special editions again with a protect my bubble insurance addon at the same price. That’s how good I think they are.

Recently bought 2 sets of mid range in ear, True Wirelss Noice Cancelling Headphones. Sennheiser CX Plus and LG Tone Free FP8 to use on an overseas trip. With the LG the set up was simple, EQ adjustements were easy and the results were excellent. With Sennheiser the set up was laborious. The EQ adjustments totally inadequate to the point that I needed to access the EQ in my phone to get results that were even comparable to the LG output. They’re bigger than the LG buds and don’t feel as secure. The case is bigger and doesn’t support wireless charging (facts I was aware of when I bought them). On the plus side Sennheiser has a setting for Podcasts which will suit one of us who listens to audio books. But the one who listens to music and video/film files the choice will be LG. I have not rated battery life or noise cancellation as I haven’t used the buds long enough to drain the battery and after spending the inordinate am ount of time required to set up the buds and download a firmware update (that went into some type of coma) I had basically lost interest. Disappointing result after experience with sennheiser over ear head phones.
Sold them after 3 months of not using them.

The app that works with the buds allows for customisation. The sound cancelling can be turned on and off with a touch of an ear bud. I never leave home without them now. They stay in your ears nicely as you twist them slightly after insertion to ensure a snug but comfy fit. Great sound. Great mic. Highly recommend!!!

If you get these READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. The insert and twist is ESSENTIAL to getting a good seal and as a result a deep and vibrant sound. If you just cram them into your ears then you will end up with a horrible flat and tinny sound.
Bass good presence without being overbearing Mid is articulate and clear, no muddiness High bright with a subtle sparkle
Noise cancellation is effective, but it essential you try all the buds to ensure you have the best fit. When activated can’t even hear clicking fingers in front of face, means music is very enveloping. Even with the iPhone sound limiting music is an immersive experience. Transparency mode is very good and can have unhindered conversations with buds in without any problems.

iPhone/iPadと接続しているため、AptX Adaptiveに関するレビューはできませんが、それでも非常にクオリティの高い音に驚きました。これがゼンハイザーサウンドか・・・
■良いと思ったところ

非常に良いです。低音から高音まで非常にクリアに感じられます。音にこだわりはないのですが、非常にはっきりとしていて、良い音だと断言できます。音のディテールが伝わってくるので、今まで聞いていた楽曲をこのイヤホンで全部聴き直したいと思うくらいです。AptX Adaptiveで聞くとさらに良い音になるのだろうか・・・対応機材を持っている人がうらやましい。
■ノイズキャンセリング
ゼンハイザーのノイキャンは甘め（リスニングに最適化しているためノイキャンはあえて控えている）と聞いていましたが、Jabra 85tと比較しても遜色のないレベルでノイズが消えているように思えます。これはノイズの種類にもよると思うので、機会があれば様々なノイズが発生する場所で比較してみます。
■タッチセンサー
指で触れたときの反応が非常に良好です。音によるフィードバックがあるのでミスタッチが発生しにくいと思います。物理的なボタンを好む人もいるのでこのあたりは好き嫌いかもしれませんが、少なくともタッチセンサーであることでイライラすることはないと感じます。
□ワイヤレス充電非対応
ワイヤレス充電に対応していません。仕方が無いのでマグネット式のUSB-C充電ケーブルを利用しています。https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B07XLHTQY2/ がお気に入りでおすすめです。
□外音取り込みが惜しい
AirPods ProやJabra 85tが非常に優秀なので、これらと比較すると劣ります。音をすこし余計に取り込んでいるような不自然さを感じます。外音取り込みレベルを調整できると良いのですが、将来のアップデートに期待します。

今更ですがレビュー時のファームウェアバージョンは 1.8.19 です。また人によって聞こえる音域や敏感な音に差異がありますので、必ずしもこのレビューが万人に当てはまることはない、という点も留意してください。さらに言うと個人的な嗜好で小さめの音量で音楽を聴くのが好きなので、爆音派の人には当てはまらない箇所があると思います。
■片側二車線、交通量が比較的多い道路沿いでのノイキャン性能と音楽鑑賞。
タイヤが道路とふれあって発生するゴーだったりサーといった音が消えます。全体的に低音の成分が減少していますが、エンジン音・マフラーから聞こえる排気音、バス・トラックのエアブレーキ音などは変わらず残ります。ノイキャンありと無しでは違うことをはっきり感じますが、その差は大きくなく、この環境においてはノイキャンで感動するといったレベルではありません。
■駅のホーム（地上）で電車待ち。
通り過ぎる電車の走行音、構内アナウンスもどちらも聞こえます。さすがにこのレベルのノイズは消してくれません。
■電車内（地上走行）で音楽鑑賞。
ノイキャンの効果はそれなりに感じるものの、音楽に没入できるほどではありませんでした。車内アナウンスは何を話しているか十分判別できます。音量を上げることでそれなりに音楽に集中できるようになります。
■電車内（地下走行）で音楽鑑賞。
音量を上げても走行音が気になって音楽に集中できませんでした。車内アナウンスがはっきりと聞き取れるので乗り過ごすことは無さそうです。環境がうるさすぎて音がいいとかは正直どうでもよいレベルです。周りの音が音楽を邪魔しまくってしまうのでCX Plus TWはこのような環境で使うものではないと感じました。この環境ではゼンハイザーの良さはまったく活かせません。

5mくらい離れていても存在がわかりますが、そこまで気にならないです。
■その他。
CX Plus TWはクローズド型のため、歩行時に自分の足音が響くのと、自分の呼吸音が気になります。以前所有していたJabra Elite 75t（こちらもクローズド型）と装着したときの感覚が似ていると感じました。
また初回レビューから繰り返しになりますが、ゼンハイザーのアプリによる接続先変更機能は超便利です。使えば使うほどこの良さを感じるようになり、マルチポイント非対応に対するネガティブ感はすでに全くありません。また接続していたデバイスが圏外になると、その前に接続していたデバイスに繋がるっぽいです。自宅のiPadに接続していて、iPadを置いて自宅を出たら、しばらくしてiPhoneにつながりました。
あと最初のレビューで言及した外音取り込みの音量（「少し余計に取り込んでるのでは？」という点）ですが、少し感じ方が変わってきたので訂正します。CX Plusを耳に入れていない素の状態とほぼ同じ音量で取り込んでいるように感じるようになりました。ただ、個人的にその音量が好きではないのだと思います。たぶん、耳に何か入ってるのに、何も入ってないときと同じ音量で聞こえる感覚が不自然に感じるのだと思います。やはり外音取り込みレベルを調整できる機能が欲しいです。
■結論

With the LG the set up was simple, EQ adjustements were easy and the results were excellent. With Sennheiser the set up was laborious. The EQ adjustments totally inadequate to the point that I needed to access the EQ in my phone to get results that were even comparable to the LG output.
They’re bigger than the LG buds and don’t feel as secure. The case is bigger and doesn’t support wireless charging (facts I was aware of when I bought them).
On the plus side Sennheiser has a setting for Podcasts which will suit one of us who listens to audio books.
But the one who listens to music and video/film files the choice will be LG.
I have not rated battery life or noise cancellation as I haven’t used the buds long enough to drain the battery and after spending the inordinate am ount of time required to set up the buds and download a firmware update (that went into some type of coma) I had basically lost interest.
Disappointing result after experience with sennheiser over ear head phones.
Sold them after 3 months of not using them.

Great sound quality, light weight and can train in them easily. The touch button functions are super sensitive though and the volume is a little low, could go an extra 10-15 higher.

The app that works with the buds allows for customisation. The sound cancelling can be turned on and off with a touch of an ear bud. I never leave home without them now. They stay in your ears nicely as you twist them slightly after insertion to ensure a snug but comfy fit. Great sound. Great mic. Highly recommend!!!

If you get these READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. The insert and twist is ESSENTIAL to getting a good seal and as a result a deep and vibrant sound. If you just cram them into your ears then you will end up with a horrible flat and tinny sound.
Bass good presence without being overbearing
Mid is articulate and clear, no muddiness
High bright with a subtle sparkle
Noise cancellation is effective, but it essential you try all the buds to ensure you have the best fit. When activated can’t even hear clicking fingers in front of face, means music is very enveloping. Even with the iPhone sound limiting music is an immersive experience. Transparency mode is very good and can have unhindered conversations with buds in without any problems.
