The ring solar panel is a great option for your stick up camera. Installation is easy and the lead just plugs into the back of the camera and off you go.
I did charge each battery fully before I installed them and hooked them up to the camera.
My only issue is that 14′ of wire is not long enough. I did find a 3rd party product to add another 14′ of cable that I will buy as one camera is on the north face of the house and I need to work around the house to find a good location for the panel.
We have had one panel up for over three years now and it works great. The wire has yellowed with age but still going strong! Excellent product and I highly recommend these.

Bought one…. Didn’t charge the battery
Bought a second…… which was not even recognized by the camera
Got a replacement which has not done any charging
Now I am stuck with two yard ornaments
So I have to keep swapping out batteries
UPDATE
Customer Service at Ring contacted me shortly after the above review.
I could not be more impressed as to how determined Ring was in getting this resolved.
They remotely tried to do some diagnostics but eventually sent out a new panel which they guided me on hooking up. This new panel worked instantly, they stayed in touch with me via phone & email throughout until the problem was solved.
Hats off to Ring for their exceptionally courteous and friendly service.
I have since revised my rating to 5 stars.

Since installing to use with my Ring spotlight Camera the battery level hasn’t fallen below 80%. I’ve had it up for over a month now and its cold, been rainy and snowed several times. I’m using it as a back yard cam so to be fair its not seeing much action from traffic foot or otherwise however I do check it regularly, and I have it set to take a pic every 14 min. My placement is unobstructed for most of the day.

Bought this product for my Ring Stick Up Cam 3rd Gen and using the USB-C to Barrel Plug Adaptor it doesn’t Actually Initiate a Charge the Status Always is in White rather Then Green.

Solar panels are hard to review without the test of time. Most, even cheap crap work well but when left out in the south Texas sun for a year you would know. So every review that is written without the panel being out in the elements for a few years it’s not a good review. With that said, mine works as expected but will have to see if it stand the test of time.
