This camera is a true all-rounder with its versatile range of features. It comes with adhesive that sticks firmly to the headliner of your car, making it the perfect camera for capturing footage while driving. What’s even more impressive is the image quality – it’s extremely clear, surpassing the quality of my previous dash cam that was similarly priced. The customer service is top-notch too – the seller is always available to answer any questions and troubleshoot any issues.
The rear camera also does an exceptional job at night, which is a huge bonus for me. The build quality is impressive, with high-quality plastics and a solid construction that features a glass lens and Sony sensor for recording. The app works seamlessly and provides immediate access to recorded video with perfect clarity. The menus are simple to navigate, and the start-up is reliable and quick. The only downside is that the wifi can be a bit clunky, but it does work well for reviewing footage on the app.
In terms of cons, it can be a bit difficult to find a specific clip on the app, which can be a bit frustrating. Additionally, once the camera is mounted, it can be moved sideways, but it would have been great if it had the option to tilt the camera downwards and upwards for a more flexible viewing angle. I don’t often write 5 star reviews but Redtiger customer service deserves nothing less. I had an issue with the rear camera quality as I was getting a lot of reflection from my rear windshield. Redtiger customer support helped me resolve the issue within a couple of days. We’ll done Rose.
As for the camera, the front camera quality is excellent. It’s a relatively easy install and I’m very happy with it so far.
Now there are some minor cons that I must mention. The 12v charging cable needs to be at least a metre longer. The camera runs very hot but that hasn’t affected its functionality so far. You’re going to need to replace the included 32gb card as it isn’t nearly big enough to hold more than a couple hours of 4k footage.

Purchased the f7np RedTiger dashcam. Was so impressed with the quality that I purchased an additional unit for another vehicle. Highly recommend the hardwire kit so you can have the parking monitor. I ordered the hardwire kit on Amazon and emailed the company and they credited the cost of the hardwire kit.
The front camera is very clear. The back camera is not as high-res as the front but it is sufficient in case of a rear end collision.
The ability to connect to your phone using WiFi and the RedTiger apps works well also.
It does take some time to run the wires to your fuse box and wire up the rear camera, but it is not too difficult, just a little time consuming. In addition to the hardwire kit, be sure to get the appropriate “tap a fuse” wires so you can piggyback into your fuse box. I always solder my wires to ensure a good connection but you can use the crimp connectors if you don’t know how to solder.
For the price, I am very impressed with this dashcam and I highly recommend it. I think it is probably the best dashcam for this price point.

i think i’ve had the dash cam for 2 months. will add photo/video later if i can edit this review later on. for reference, i drive a ford fusion HYBRID.
front dash is very good quality during day and at night. the view is good. can see cars who are next to me. front cam sticks onto glass very well. not any other material. back dash looks good. back cam sticks like tape. if i got a new car, i would probably have to use velcro to restick. not sure if it’s due to a dirty windshield or not yet, but headlights do blind the camera at night only from the back. you can still see what’s going on behind you so it’ll still serve its purpose, but you’ll see more headlight than car.
i was able to hide most the wires, except for where i have to plug it in and let it hang. coming from someone who was really concerned about visible wires, i am satisfied with the length of the wires allowing me to hide them and still reach the back windshield.
my cig lighter does NOT turn off when the car is off! i plug and unplug the camera every time i leave and enter the car. if im only stopping by someplace for a short amount of time, i’ll leave it plugged in.
the app is great. it comes with SD card but it’s small memory. it’s doable but i wanted to not have to worry about the “what if it overwrites something i need” situations so i bought a different one with large space.

There are certain things you should always have in your car: jumper cables, a tire pressure gauge, an emergency kit and, these days, a dash cam. These little cameras can be attached to your dashboard or rear-view mirror in minutes, are relatively inexpensive and can save you a boatload of money with video evidence in the event of an accident. There are lots of benefits of having dash cam footage on hand, such as getting a picture of the license plate of that car that side-swiped you on the highway or proving to your insurance provider that you weren’t responsible for that fender bender.
As for this particular model, here are all my good and not so good points about it:
GOOD 👍 + True front 4K recording! Lot of those dash-cam out there pretend to be 4k, but at the end you only get 1080p if you’re lucky. But this one is definitely tested & confirmed at 4k. + Rear camera records videos at 1080p. + Will start recording as soon as you turn on your car’s ignition key (if your cigarette plug is powered by/connected to your ignition). + Easy to install (see video). + Nice large LCD color screen, which is helpful for settings the camera and reviewing the footage if needed. + Everything needed to mount this camera is included in the box. + Has true 3M double sided tape on it. + Front camera is removable after mounting, which allows me to remove it from the car when needed. For instance, when parking it in “high risk” parking zones (such as big city like San Francisco, Los Angeles…etc). + The camera does have all the good functionality you expect from a good dash-cam (parking mode, ultra-wide viewing angle, crash detection, screen auto-sleep, OSD.etc) + Comes with a GPS module that can record your speed and display it on the recordings. This can be useful when getting a speeding ticket to prove that you were not driving at the speed indicated on the ticket.
NOT SO GOOD 👎 – No way that I can find to manually record an emergency video with this camera. – Micro-SD card is not included. – Prying plastic tool will be needed but is not included in the box (had to use some old one I had from a previous dash-cam installation).

Update 2: Finally found someone helpful at Red Tiger. They recommended another dash cam software. However, that software didn’t offer Geotagging, so they offered a $50 refund so I could purchase my own 3rd party software. Update: I removed a star, because their customer service is not as awesome as some have stated when dealing with a return. Apparently I ordered the newer version with a in vehicle rear camera. All the instructions were for out of vehicle placement. Needless to say camera got wet and moisture got into it, and it became cloudy. Additionally, their software for PC is atrocious. It’s not even downloadable from their website. It points you to a very shady download site, that throws up virus warnings on your PC. I have a very powerful gaming laptop, their pc app crashes my computer within minutes of opening. Their answer is to run in compatibility mode. That doesn’t work either. Be willing to shell out another $35-$75 on dash cam viewing software, if you want geotagging. Wasn’t sure what to expect for the price, but it’s a great camera. Video is clear from front and rear, day & night. The App makes setup easier, than setting up on the camera unit. I added a 256GB micro SD, that’s the max the unit can use, and should be plenty. The instructions are not well written, you can tell they’ve been translated to English from Chinese. The manual is very small, and hard to read with the very small fonts. However, it’s available online. I opted to hardwire the unit over using the 12V accessory, for the added features, and cosmetics of the car. I purchased a hardwire kit on my own, but it does state in the manual, they will send you one for free (wish I’d have read that part first). Hardwiring to the vehicle was simple enough, only 3 wires BAT/ACC/Ground. Your mileage may vary from vehicle to vehicle however. I purchased the double fuse wiring kit, because it has fuse taps for all fuse sizes, and you can tap into another fuse if your fuse box is full. I can’t comment on customer support yet, I just purchased, so no need to contact them yet. This is probably one of the best cameras out there under $200

The camera is fine however after everyday reattaching to the front windscreen I give up, new car, cleaned the contact area, tried the supplied clear film and the suction cap causes a bubble on this film then falls off the windscreen, ( not attaching on the black masked area) tried without this film and suction pad falls off everyday, over it and will buy a dash cam with adhesive tape.
