Very comfortable, sound is good for the price

We bought two of these for our teen girls on the spectrum. One uses hers for an eye mask to block light the other uses it as a music head set and sleeps with it. In fact they haven’t removed it since receiving it a few days ago. Helps relax them and block out other noises to get off to sleep. It actually looks trendy and cool for everyday wear when out and about with the pastel pink coloured band. Hubby and I now want one too 😂 our psychologist recommended it

I’m so in love with this. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting and was a bit disappointed to begin with. I was expecting it to block out all the other noises and thought it would be made of quite a thick fabric. But it doesn’t block out all the other noises (so I can still hear my kids if they have a nightmare or need help in the middle of the night), and the fabric is super soft and comfortable. The speakers are able to to move and positioned where you want them, which is good if you need them in a spot other than the default spot like me, but can also mean they can slide around, and you need to reposition during the night.
Great for side sleepers like myself. And has a Velcro strap across the back to help readjust the size.

Awesome nice and comfortable

Great set of headphones. Bought them for my husband for his birthday and he has used them every night. They’re loud enough for him to hear his podcasts without disturbing me. The blackout mask is great for blocking light out. A full charge lasts about a week before needing to be recharged. He uses it roughly 8-9 hours per day continuously.

 I won’t get into price specifics because prices change, what I will say though is that for the price range that it’s in, it is good value for money.

It’s best feature for me is that it doesn’t have moulded or shaped eye pieces (perfect fit moulds keep the heat in, the light out & increase price) as in my experience those result in perspiration after a night use. It isn’t a good thing to waken to a puddle of sweat under the eye. THAT PHENOMENA IS PROBABLY SPECIFIC TO MY LOCALE & CLIMATIC CONDITIONS (I’m not yelling, just emphasising lol). I’m in the South Australian outback and it gets hot here, this light blocking bandana does a great job by covering up the face from forehead to nose tip with a soft but breathable, padded fabric. If you, the reader is in a colder climate then this might not be a problem for you, but I’d still advise against getting a bandana with a moulded eye fitting as it’s an unnecessary solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. This conventional style of light blockout bandana does a great job of blocking out light.

I’ve deducted stars from my assessment because whilst being adjustable the Velcro frequently makes noise in the motion of rolling over, the Velcro catches a little on the pillow. That noise isn’t loud for my wife in bed,beside me but it is closer to my ear and resonates around my skull, so yeah, it bothered me a little. One quickly became aware of it and subconsciously adapted to suit, it isn’t a problem for me anymore but for some it might be.

The bandana isn’t so good for my wife, sharing our bed however, she often stays awake later than me Facebooking on her phone, reading in bed or leaving our bedroom door open to listen for our 4yo granddaughter if she is staying with us, it necessitates the hallway light be left on as a night light. My wife can sleep with this light on but I have difficulty so this blockout bandana is a good solution for the problem. I also frequently awaken earlier or have interrupted sleep so I do emails etc or watch TV on my smartphone until sleep finds me, so this bandana is a great way of noise discretion (just raising the bandanas position to totally cover my forehead uncovers the eyes). Other aspects however are issues. If the Bluetooth source runs out of battery power or disconnects for some reason then the bandana will begin flashing its lights whilst it’s searching for a signal and they are bright, and can awaken your bed partner.
You might be drifting off to sleep, quietly listening to music or a talkback broadcast on a low volume, if you power down the bandana it’ll make a loud announcement of that action.

The best thing to do is to leave it running all night. It will provide 2 or 3 nights of continual use before needing recharging, that’s really good battery charge longevity and simply put it on to recharge at a time when you aren’t using it.

A fantastic alternate use for me is with my GPS in the car. I choose to use my smartphone and a GPS satellite navigating app as it’s always using live or up to date traffic/route data. If I used ear buds then they’d not only become uncomfortable after a while but also I couldn’t clearly here the sound of the running car (engine trouble detection etc) or if travelling with passengers I couldn’t hear them. Again this bandanna is a perfect tool for the job, I can clearly here in-cab conversation and the navigation apps turn by turn directions. I also have set my phone to auto answer after 5 rings when connected to a Bluetooth device, yep the bandana also is a hands free system for phonecalls.

This is why it’s only a 3 star product but is perfect for me and a fit tool for the job. It’s also relatively inexpensive thus reasonably easily replaceable if ever needed. I did like it enough to buy another for my wife and one for my sister-in-law.
