Before I brought the Cube I had a fire stick. The Cube works as a great streamer with more capacity, Alexa and a pass through HDMI effectively increasing the HDMI capacity of my TV. This was a good purchase at a discounted price.

My old tv was slow and unresponsive but once I hooked this bad boy up it worked super quick and can even turn the tv off with my voice as well as use it as a normal Alexa, a must have for any lounge. It also has crunchyroll which a Samsung tv apparently doesn’t have

I like the cube because it gives options to add things like a decent sound bar and was easy to hook up. Its easy to look up stuff on Youtube to explain downloads and what not…The only thing I was I was a bit surprised at first was that it didn’t have access to the Binge AUSTRALIA channel which since then has changed…Im very happy with device and would definitely recommend people spending that little bit extra if they want a device with loads of storage space.

I have had 3 generations of Fire TV now and this is certainly the biggest and definitely the best. It provides some new functionality like being able to switch on the TV with a single press of the power button on the Fire TV remote (although the setup took a lot of tries to get that working with my HiSense TV).
If you have an earlier model, it is worth considering getting the Fire TV Cube as an upgrade and pass the older model on to the kids or grandparents.

My best speed is not much different to my Fire Stick 4K Max. Disappointed, feel like I’ve wasted my money

Bought the Cube and two Echo 4’s to combine with my existing Echo Studio to form a Home Theatre. Basically, it can’t be done. Set-up is tedious to combine & pair the Echo 4’s & then you’re faced with a choice, you can link the Cube & the Studio, or, you can link the Cube & the Echo 4’s – not both.
Using the HDMI ARC port on your TV makes no difference. Sound with either combination is nowhere near as good as even the most basic, cheap sound-bar & Subwoofer.

Similarly, from the Cube you can link to a Bluetooth compatible sub woofer via Bluetooth, but not simultaneously with the Echo 4’s.

Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the pathetic linking options available under the very dubiously named Home Cinema speaker grouping title.

Save your money and stick with your TV’s own inbuilt speakers. An expensive, time wasting con that delivers sub-standard sound.

It’s good, the only flow with it at the moment
Ent is that some apps I have on my fire tv 4k Max isn’t compatible with the fire cube. Peacock tv doesn’t work on it. Maybe future updates will fix that. I’d hold off buying it for a bit until they get there updates sorted
