When this printer arrived, I thought I’d hit the jackpot. It was cheap, easy to install and I could print from my phone and computer with ease.
After owning it for a few months, I’ve realised that it’s REALLY thirsty for ink. And each cartridge is around $30.
If you don’t print much, you should be ok, but I’ve decided that it’s cheaper to go to my local Officeworks to print, rather than buying a new cartridge every 2 weeks.

Although I realised that the printer was not air-print enabled, I expected the Epson i-print feature to be easy to set up and use, but I have been totally disappointed as, despite many attempts at following the instructions, I have still not been able to simply print anything from my phone or iPad. Extremely complex to set up compared to my experience with other printers. Makes a mockery of having a wireless connection when (in my case) you have to use the computer right next to the printer anyway. Printer is otherwise okay though seems heavy on ink and photo printing disappointing. I regret not having replaced my Canon with another Canon. At the cost I cannot confine this to the bin – which is what I’d like to do, but will certainly not choose another Epson product in the future.

I had this printer delivered today. Nothing wrong with Amazon. I set the printer up and got it working. I had bought another Epson as I had unused inks from my last printer and I cannot afford to waste it. It worked until i needed to change the ink, then it refused to recognize the Epson ink. I tried another full cartridge and again it refused to recognize this. I went onto the Epson site and this is what sent me ballistic. They want £5 just to give you advice on how to make your new printer work. I have long thought the ink prices were just a scam, but to then ensure they cannot be recognize their own product is merely a scam to rip people off. I am so angry about this that I am now going to my MP about this. The whole thing is a scam. DO NOT BUY any Epson product. .

Doesn’t have double sided printing
Easier to print from laptop not as easy from mobile which is a big issue
Ink runs out very fast my 5 year old printer was much better

The printer itself is good and produces good quality print. Exceptional value for money but the problem is that the printer will only work with official Epson ink cartridges and a suitable pack costs more than the printer!!!

Just a piece of advice, install the Epson Smart Panel app, it will make the configuration of this printer much easier! Took me some time to figure this out, the Epson website where it shows how to configure the printer just displays a blank (empty) box when you click the option to see the configuration instructions.
Also a bit disappointing that the included cartridges doesn’t come full, but expected since 4 new cartridges costs more than what I paid for this printer.

I bought this primarily for the scanner, and I don’t know about you, but how can they produce a printer scanner combo and sell it for 50 odd bucks, yet a stand alone scanner is 200+ 🤷♂️
As a scanner, it works great, easy software to setup. Prints photos really well, far better than my colour laser.
I’ve only printed maybe 10 pages of colour, the included cartridges are still showing full, but I’m not expecting miracles. Wifi printing from other PC’s and my phone has been flawless.

I bought this Epson printer because my previous printers were all Epson and I liked the brand but this printer is a nightmare I’ve had it a week and STILL can’t get it to print emails or attached docs. I’m sending this trash back and buying another brand it’s UNBELIEVABLE how bad the set up is. Reading comments it seems this is a prob when setting up using android as opposed to standard computer. Clearly whoever developed this needs to give their head a waggle because you need a PHd to get it working. I can print files and pictures but NOT emails or email attachments. I found something that says you need to PAY EXTRA to be able to do that is it true i.e additional cost to just print emails and attachments? I hope not because if it is, Epson will soon lose customers due to the greed of additional “add on” costs. In the meantime this thing is going back and I’m going to find an easier printer to install. I have just gone out and bought a HP printer oh my goodness NO COMPARISON regarding set up of the HP it took less than an hour to fill the ink and set the HP printer up and SO EASY unlike this Epson printer which was a nightmare. Sorry Epson I’m no longer an Epson fan you need to get your act together and make your printer set up easier and more customer friendly, check out how HP have done it because those guys have got it right!

It does what it says on the tin, just follow the onscreen instructions and its very easy to setup. All in all I would say I’m very happy with the printer, and supplier, especially the speed of service. I recommend both.

The printer itself is cheap, is pretty easily installed, and is ready to be used. The problems start when you realize how expensive the ink is and how quickly it burns through it. Never again
Kindle Customer –
easy install, setup and operation for windows PC
but requires android printer driver installation and extra apps for ipads.
if the majority of people are wanting to print from mobile, pick another printer.

I ordered this printer a couple of weeks ago and I am very disappointed in its quality. The printer downloaded viruses to my computer and did not print test sheets for verification. It also did not print any documents and indicated that it had empty ink. Even when changing the ink to a new one, it refused to print. This was my worst purchase from a supplier. Very disappointed with the quality – it’s a waste of time and nerves.

I was dreading setting it up as our last printer was a nightmare to setup and try to connect to wifi but this printer i was pleasantly surprised how fast and easy it was and started using straight away as it comes with all the ink too! Been so easy to use. I highly recommend it!
