Bought this for PC / Steam use. For games like Nioh 2, Dark Souls, Sekiro, Monster Hunter. This Controller is such an upgrade over my PS4 one, that I’m in shock. The lightly Creeping Haptic/vibrations when you pull the L and R triggers…. is amazing, to say the least.
Just for that 1 feature alone, i’d buy this controller instantly. It’s the definition of perfection for a controller in 2021. Absolutely precise L and R buttons, great materials, build quality. Perfect. This Controller is a huge innovation for Sony.
~~~~ Meanwhile XBOX…. still using AA Batteries………… i’d be embarrassed honestly.

I bought this controller a month and a half ago and I haven’t used it much since I bought it, now the rubber on the left thumb stick has lifted from the plastic and the motors are also clattering. Sony really need to improve these controllers as my PS4 controller lasted me for 3 years without any issue. I’m not a hardcore gamer and the controller only probably has around about 20hours of use, I am very disappointed with Sony…

Fresh out the box I knew something was off. The left thumbstick felt weird. It would “creak” when moved slowly in any direction. When pressing up & left/right the thumbstick would feel “gritty”. Then came the stick drift. Left thumbstick again, constantly to the right. An audible “click” whenever the thumbstick was moved left.
Not the first time this has happened either. I have gone through, since launch, 12+ dualsense controllers. That isn’t a joke. I don’t handle my controllers roughly. Most of them, from day one, have issues. I’ve never seen such a severe lack of quality control. Not just in the dualsense, but also in the controllers that come with Xbox Series S/X. This is also the same for Nintendo’s JoyCons.
This is an industry wide issue that hasn’t been addressed in years. These controllers aren’t cheap. At this point, I’m considering moving over to PC full time. At least PC has quality peripherals.
Ironically, I’d purchased this controller to replace another (barely over a year old) dualsense that was also experiencing stick drift in the left thumbstick. Now I’ve had to send the Pink Nova controller in for repairs while using the stick drifting controller as a backup.
Third party controllers can’t come soon enough. Anything is better than these.

Listen it’s the dualsense so it’s an amazing controller, 5 stars, but it’s pink, it’s not red. On NO colour palette is this close to red. I bought it prerelese so I hadn’t seen one in person. It’s not a bad colour but not worth an extra £10. I wanted a red controller, this is more a cerise pink. 5 stars for controller, 1 star for description so I think 3 is fair
