I use it to commute every morning, in general I would say is a good lamp; I have been riding while is slightly raining with no problem at all. The on/off button is easy to reach and use even when wearing thick gloves, the rubber strap and the plastic bracket have resisted quite well, so far no marks of wear or signs of plastic fatigue, I forgot to remove the lamp when trying some small/medium size dirt jump ramps, and kept the lamp mainly in position, although it rotated a little bit up. In the other side the description says that it has an internal antiglare reflector, it would be nice if the instructions have proper aiming directions, to be sure the lamp is not aiming to high to glare drivers but at the same time to have a maximum distance with a good reach of light, the specs also are missing how many candelas ca you reach up to 150 meters. The “Infrared lighting sensor” seems to be a simple photoresistor, which works very well but does not look very appealing. In general I like it and yes I would recommend it, is a good balance between price and quality.

I bought two of these – one for my son’s MTB and one for my Ninebot Max G30 scooter. For the MTB as the primary they are fine. For the scooter….actually they just show how good the inbuilt headlight on the ninebot really is and this unit cannot compete as a replacement . The light does however provide some good extra perimeter “Halo” light to the built in ninebot headlight so it is not a bad addition. Easy to use and mounts well. They take a long time to fully charge. Overall happy.

CONS: -Not as bright as advertised on the image of the entire gravel road being illuminated, but definitely bright enough -The securing mechanism is too elastic and a different mechanism would be better. I had to add some cable ties for security.

This arrived earlier. At the time of writing this I have not cycled with it and cannot comment on battery life (although does appear to be good based on short time recharging after test use in the dark) but have tested in some unlit fields.
The light is good for the price. It is fairly well made although does not feel ‘weighty’. There is some lateral spill of light through the clear plastic to the sides of the lens which I think is deliberate to increase visibility. Sensor mode is clever (although when exposed to bright light it dims the light to the point of being off until the bright light goes so I need to test this under bright street lights to check it doesn’t do the same).
Mount seems solid and suspect will be robust enough for road riding and possibly some off road although I don’t do much of the latter.
Testing the light in the garden and some fields I would be prepared to ride with this light on dark country lanes although am not sure if I would go full speed on them (I’ve also used an Exposure Joystick in the past which is currently AWOL; the light from this is not as good but is comparable to my Alpkit Boson)- I would still be happy going a decent clip. Definitely bright enough for town/city riding.

This is a really excellent light and for the price it is incredible. I commute to work on my bike every day and have been using the light for a few months now and would recommend to anyone. Don’t expect a spotlight style beam, the light is wide like the low beam on a car headlight but this means you have great visibility all around and as you corner. The fact that the beam is all directed down and not up into the eyes of other cyclists is also a huge plus and should be the standard for front lights.
I personally don’t think the light sensor is very useful but I guess people might find a use for it. Battery life is very good but of course the brightness will fall off as the charge drops so I tend to charge it after about 2 hours of use on high even though it would clearly last much longer.

We cycle with our lights on at all times for safety so have been looking for a light which was bright yet secured well to the handle bars and lasted well. These lights achieve all those goals. Its inexpensive and charges via USB. In addition the LED charge lights mean that its easy to know when to charge the light. Great purchase – I would recommend it for commuting, simple trail and off road work.
This light not bright enough for using on tough trails at night time – for that you will have to spend a lot more money, however as an everyday light – it is excellent.
