Beats Studio Buds – True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds – Compatible with Apple & Android, Built-in Microphone, IPX4 Rating, Sweat Resistant…

I really like the fit. I like the sound profile more than the higher priced Apple Pros (a touch more bass). I would not be surprised if they have higher specked headphone speakers, just due to the timing, and Apple’s relentless drive forward. I don’t use Android which is their target market, but that is fine. Their noise cancelling doesn’t seem as good. You can more easily turn off a call in error because it is not intuitive to push them in the ears for a better fit, without switching it off. There is a method, because of their shape – pinch the sides to push in. I would prefer comply foam to the rubber in the box – for grip mainly. Super comfortable. Good price for what you get and Apple’s QC. I’m glad for the water resistance – though honestly I believe that the Apple Pros are just as water résistent but they didn’t want people testing it until the data came in (just my experience, and knowledge of the way the conservative way Apple approaches those claims in
particular – their first gen NON pros, went in a quarter of a washing cycle and worked for another YEAR!). The microphones are not good, obviously they lack the directional stick that are baked into the Apple versions. I am an audiophile and buy tonnes of headphones – I am astonished how good wireless stuff is now. I used to drop 3k on wired ear buds. No more! I use those amazing ones at home with a dedicated DAC occasionally – but 90% of the time I will use these or some version of them. I got the new expensive Sony’s v4 whatever long name they use. These are 15x as comfortable and half the price. A no-brainer.

I had been looking at this for a few months but was hesitant to purchase due to Beats history of bass heavy sound. But when I saw them on sale I grabbed them and have not been disappointed. The sound is fantastic with excellent stereo separation and I have heard things I have never heard before on songs I have listened to a thousand times. This is the biggest positive with these earbuds. The other positive is form factor. The case is perfect for your pocket, well made and has a quality feel. Noise cancellation, while not killing of all noise, is perfectly adequate. Its ideal for the commute and also drowning out background noise enough to allow perfect concentration when needed. Fit for me was excellent however they may, like all earbuds, not suit everyone. They are easy to insert and remove. Now the negatives. Firstly its the battery life. The buds will definatly give you 6-8 hours, I have found myself having to charge the case more than I expected to having to put it on charge every 2 days. This could defiantly be improved. Also is the app. Which only shows battery life when a bud is in the case and overall just lacks any useful functionality. It would also be nice to have more options for the buttons. Overall though these are fantastic headphones that receive the Apple level of quality and attention to detail. You will not regret purchasing these.

A BIG “beats” disappointment

I would like to share my experience with buying the “Beats Studio Buds” which is, mainly, a warning to everyone wanting to buy these.

The reason I bought these, is to replace my Airpods Pro (gen 1) which are giving up after one year of intense use. I owned a pair of Beats Studio headphones many years ago and while it was the best sounding headphones, I was happy with the fit and their funtiolality. And the Beats Studio Buds have failed me in almost everything. They are a HUGE mess. First, their sound quality is on board with earbuds of 30-50$ and I paid 190$ for these. Secondly and most problematic issue, is the microphone for calls. I have not stopped receiving complains when I used them on phone calls or Zoom meetings. My clients and colleagues were telling that they can’t hear me well or it seems I am far from the phone. It is completely unacceptable to have this issue with earbuds costing 190$ while my new SoundPeats earbuds deliver amazing audio quality on calls, and they only cost 37$. Third problem is the connectivity with my iPhone, simply atrocious as it does not always connect automatically or the connection drops for no particular reason. Forth problem is how unneceserily chunky the case of the buds are. Again, my SoundPeats case is less than 50% smaller, thus easier to carry and store.

I love Apple as their devices are a blessing to people like me, who rely on them for work and every day living. But this buds are a catastrophe.

There is a chance that I received a defective pair.

It’s not very comfortable to wear long time. Otherwise they are all good

Great sound! There is a interference when the battery drops.
