looks great, lovely feel to the hand while holding

It looks and feels great. It does get scuff marks quiet easily if you’re rough with it, however that may be a positive as it adds to the warn appearance.

We decided it was time to update our Kindle as the cover was worn and we were not able to purchase another for our model. We purchased a new Kindle and the Premium Leather cover. Value for money and a decent cover to protect our new Kindle.

For anyone wondering, here’s what my case looks like after 4 months of moderate use. From memory, I think when it arrived it may have looked a little darker than it does now, but either way, as you can see it now closely resembles the colour shown in the stock photos. I really like this case for it’s great look, its feel and how personalised it is becoming with the unique wear patterns.
That said, there is one potential reason why you may want to consider the other standard cases Amazon makes instead of this one is because those cases are water-safe. One of the big advantages of the Kindle Oasis is that is waterproof, so you can comfortably read in the bath, by the pool, at the beach etc. without any worry of your device getting wet. But this case is almost certainly NOT the kind you would like to get wet (to be fair, I haven’t submerged it in water to definitively test this, but from the very light splashes it it has encountered I don’t think it would hold up well).
So, in conclusion, I think this is a lovely case for what it is, but if think you might like the option to safely use your Kindle & case around water at all then it may be worth considering one of the other water-safe cases which Amazon offers.
Hopefully that was of some help in making your purchase decision! 🙂

The screen is great. I would have preferred a constant thickness and no buttons. This would have probably allowed to make a Kindle with a bigger screen than the Paperwhite (like it is indeed) but still fitting inside the pocket of my jeans (buttons and the HW not fitting in the thin side are stealing precious space on the side of the Kindle).
Paperwhite is better value for your money in my opinion, even if it has a smaller screen. Same functionalities apart from the adjustable warmth of the screen and fitting in your pockets, plus it is half the price.

There’s nothing that beats the feel and smell of leather when you’re cozied up to read a book of an evening. This one feels super comfortable in the hands, fits my Kindle 9th gen perfectly, and has a great magnetic clasp that not only holds it closed, but locks the cover to the back when it’s in use. If you have a Kindle, this is the cover you want!
Toni Robinson –
While the cover is lightweight and pleasant to hold, the magnets between the two edges are strong.
There is no ‘lip’ to help in separating the edges when trying to open the cover.
This hinders it’s functionality.

Worth buying for the smell alone. I often pause while reading to take a deep sniff of the cover.
The only downside to this is that if you flip the front around to the back, you lose the contoured back to hold on to, so I tend to leave the front cover dangling on the side.
