This works well at charging and using headphones, however, I would have expected that, if you want to revert from headphones to main speakers, all you would need to do is unplug the speaker jack, but no, so if you are listening to something and want to share it with others you have to unplug the whole device from the iPad, which is a tedious procedure.

I have totally run out of patience and am having to look for a replacement. For several weeks now it has been difficult to get the iPad to switch from speaker to headphones. I has taken many taps of the blue symbol to switch it over. More recently, it has stopped charging, so I can no longer have it charging with this device attached. I have to unplug the device and plug in the charger lead directly into the iPad. I am now looking for an alternative that will enable me to use both charge and use headphones at the same time and what is comparable with a case.

In the photo I have added you can see that the little plastic cover that sits over the ports has come unglued, but if you look closely where you can see where the glue was, you can also see a little lip, and the covering snaps onto that lip nicely so it can stay there with ease without the glue and it won’t just fall off, so really as long as you just don’t pull with that part it’ll be fine and it doesn’t impact the performance of this product at all.
It is still a very nice little chord. The wires are protected by that nice fiber mesh that protects the wires from being damaged, the ports all snap into place nicely when you plug them in, it’s been incredibly handy and charges crazy fast. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Interference is ridiculous through head set tried x3 different headsets connecting to it hear the crackling when talking doesn’t change if also have power charging lead connected as well still crackles. Only good thing with it no Interference if using AUX to car sound quality good. Defo don’t recommend if using head phones waste of my money.

As expected when the phones being charged through this device it will only slow charge. What I didn’t expect was to hear the alternator hmm through the stereo which is disappointing. The unit sounds nice and clear but is lacking deep bass so overall I think this unit only deserves two stars

Been using this for almost two months now and had no trouble with it. Charges my phone (Pixel 5) and allows me to play music in my VW Polo (2012). The ONLY downside is my speakers make a horrible electronic interference noise if my phone is still plugged into this when I turn the ignition off, but as this only happens when the ignition turns off it’s not a frequent thing I have to deal with and it doesn’t change how this functions (it could also just be my car causing the issue).
I’d recommend getting a cigarette charger (I got the 24W Anker) for use with this and a charging cable, along with a decent length Aux cable so you don’t have to worry about where you put the phone in order to allow for charging and music playing.

Got this about a year ago. In this day & Age, the 3.5mm headphone jack is being phased out for no reason. Some people don’t want to go wireless with ear/headphones.
Anyway, I’ve been using this for my phone & Tablet, and no charging/sound issues.
Although, there is a bug every now & then where after unlocking my phone, my phone will SOMETIMES think my headphones are not connected. To fix this I discovered that I just need to do 4 steps:
1) Unplug the main charger from the adapter,
2) Unplug the adapter & Insert charger,
3) Remove main charger from phone, and reconnect to adapter
4) Re-insert adapter to phone with main charger & Headphones still connected.
I don’t know why this fixes the issue, but I’m glad it does.
